The Sendlinger Tor is one of three surviving medieval city gates in Munich, marking the southern end of Sendlinger Strasse at the edge of the old town. The flanking towers are 14th-century originals; the large central arch is a 19th-century reconstruction. U1/U2/U3/U6 to Sendlinger Tor. The Asamkirche, one of the most dramatic small Baroque interiors in Bavaria, is a 5-minute walk north on the same street.
