The Seidlwinkltal above Rauris in the Salzburger Land is a national park valley leading toward the Hohe Tauern main ridge and the Sonnblick (3,105 m), which hosts Austria’s highest permanently staffed meteorological observatory. Trail access from the valley floor in summer; the Rauriser Urwald primeval forest is nearby. Rauris is accessible by bus from Zell am See. Open terrain; free access for hikers.
