The Schlossberglift is a glass-fronted lift drilled 77 meters through the rock face of Graz’s Schlossberg, providing the fastest ascent from Schlossbergplatz to the summit park in about 30 seconds. Opened in 2000 as a complement to the 1894 Schlossbergbahn funicular. Costs approximately EUR 2.50 one way. The glass cab moves through a shaft carved directly through the solid rock, visible through the walls during the ascent. Open daily from approximately 8:00 to 23:00 in summer.
