Schloss Stainz above the village of Stainz in western Styria houses two branches of the Joanneum state museum: a hunting history museum and an agricultural history museum. The castle is a former Augustinian monastery sitting above Styria’s Schilcherland wine zone, where the local Blauer Wildbacher grape produces the pink Schilcher wine found almost nowhere else.
