Schloss Rosenburg

Schloss Rosenburg in Lower Austria’s Kamptal valley runs daily falconry shows with free-flying eagles, hawks, and falcons in a Renaissance tournament courtyard that dates from the sixteenth century. The castle itself has twelfth-century origins and a well-preserved arcaded Renaissance courtyard. Shows run at 11:00 and 15:00 from April to October. The castle interiors are open for self-guided tours alongside the falconry. No direct public transport from Vienna; a car makes the easiest approach, combined with a stop in the Wachau wine valley on the way back.
