Germany's highest ring road, circling the Rossfeld at 1,600 meters above Berchtesgaden with panoramic views over Salzburg, the Bavarian Alps, and on clear days as far as the Grossglockner. The road is a toll road (cars only, no motorcycles), about 5 kilometers of switchbacks and open plateau driving.

The Rossfeld Panoramastrasse is Germany’s highest ring road, a 5-kilometer toll road circling the Rossfeld plateau at 1,600 meters with panoramic views over Salzburg and the Alps on both sides of the German-Austrian border. Toll fee approximately EUR 5-8; no motorcycles permitted. About 8 km from Berchtesgaden center by car. Best combined with the Ramsau and Kehlsteinhaus on a full day in the Berchtesgaden area.
