The Reither Moor is a protected high-altitude bog on the Seefeld plateau, one of the few intact peat moor ecosystems in the Tyrolean Alps. A boardwalk loop takes about 30-60 minutes through cottongrass, sundew plants, and bog mosses that have been accumulating here since the last ice age. Free access, 2 km from Seefeld center. Best in late spring when the cottongrass blooms. Stay on the boardwalk; the ecosystem is protected.

Reither Moor
A protected high moor on the Seefeld plateau, one of the few intact bog ecosystems in the Tyrolean Alps. Moors at this altitude are rare and ecologically sensitive: the peat accumulates over thousands of years, and the specialized plant life, including carnivorous sundew plants and cottongrass, is found nowhere else in the surrounding landscape.
