Laxenburg’s parish church serves the village at the edge of the Habsburg summer residence park 15 km south of Vienna. The park contains the Franzensburg, a Neo-Gothic castle on an artificial lake built in the early 19th century as a romantic stage set stocked with medieval Habsburg artifacts. The church is a free, brief stop on the way to the park. Train from Vienna approximately 30 minutes. Combine with the Laxenburg park walk and Franzensburg boat tour (seasonal).
