Pfarrkirche Laxenburg

The parish church of Laxenburg is part of the Habsburg summer residence village 15 km south of Vienna, where the imperial family built a landscaped park with a Neo-Gothic castle (the Franzensburg) on an artificial lake.

Laxenburg’s parish church serves the village at the edge of the Habsburg summer residence park 15 km south of Vienna. The park contains the Franzensburg, a Neo-Gothic castle on an artificial lake built in the early 19th century as a romantic stage set stocked with medieval Habsburg artifacts. The church is a free, brief stop on the way to the park. Train from Vienna approximately 30 minutes. Combine with the Laxenburg park walk and Franzensburg boat tour (seasonal).
