OK Center for Contemporary Art

The OK Center for Contemporary Art occupies a former Ursuline convent on OK-Platz in Linz's culture quarter, a few minutes from the Ars Electronica Center on the Danube. The program runs toward immersive installations, media art, and experimental formats, which makes it a complement to the AEC's technology focus rather than a duplication.

The program focuses on immersive installations, media art, and experimental contemporary work. The rooftop terrace (Hoehe 3) runs the Sinnesrausch summer exhibition (May to September) with large-scale art installations and views over the Danube. The OK Center is part of Linz’s deliberate post-industrial cultural reinvention, which began with the Ars Electronica festival in 1979 and expanded through the European Capital of Culture year in 2009. Adults EUR 6. Tuesday to Sunday 10:00-18:00. Walking distance from the Hauptplatz.
