The Museum Niederösterreich at Kulturbezirk 5 in St. Pölten covers the natural and cultural history of Lower Austria across three departments. The 2002 museum is part of the Kulturbezirk cultural quarter built when St. Pölten became the new Lower Austrian provincial capital. St. Pölten is 40 minutes by fast train from Vienna.
