The Murtalbahn is a narrow-gauge railway opened in 1894 running 67km through the upper Mur valley from Unzmarkt to Tamsweg in Salzburg province’s isolated Lungau region. The railway still operates scheduled services and runs steam locomotive days on select dates through the year.
