The Murradweg follows the Mur river for over 365km from the Lungau highlands in Salzburg province through Graz and on to the Slovenian border near Bad Radkersburg. The route descends from 1,100m alpine meadows through Styria’s industrial heartland and vineyard hills to the southeastern plain, covering the full geographic range of the Mur valley in 7 to 12 days. It is waymarked throughout and well-served by rail for point-to-point logistics. Start at St Michael im Lungau (Salzburg province) and end at Bad Radkersburg, or pick up individual sections from Bruck an der Mur or Graz.
