The Murauen are the floodplain meadows along the Mur river near Bad Radkersburg in southeastern Styria, preserving one of Austria’s remaining stretches of natural alluvial riverside landscape near the Slovenian border. The open nature reserve is free to walk and best in spring when the riparian woodland is active. Bad Radkersburg is 60km southeast of Graz.
