Mozarteum

The Mozarteum Foundation is the institution that runs both of Salzburg's Mozart museums, organizes the Mozart Week festival each January, and operates the concert hall on Schwarzstrasse where major chamber and orchestral programming happens outside the Salzburg Festival.

The Mozarteum Foundation in Salzburg runs the two Mozart museums, the Mozart Week festival in January, and the concert hall at Schwarzstrasse 26 in the Neustadt. The Grosser Saal is a 1914 venue for chamber and orchestral concerts year-round, separate from the Festspielhaus and considerably more affordable. Tickets and schedules at mozarteum.at. The foundation is distinct from the neighboring Mozarteum University. The 5-minute walk from Mirabellplatz connects directly to both Mozart museums for a full half-day Mozart circuit.
