Medieval castle ruins from 1263 on the Schlossberg above Bruck an der Mur, where the Mur and Mürz rivers meet in Upper Styria. The ruins are fragmentary but the view over the river confluence is worth the short steep climb. Free access, no hours. Bruck an der Mur is on the Vienna-Graz and Vienna-Villach rail lines. Combine with the 15th-century Kornmesserhaus Gothic loggia in the town center.
