The Lammerklamm gorge near Abtenau features the Lammeröfen section, where the river has carved rounded limestone potholes into narrow walls. Metal walkways thread through the gorge; wet and physical in places. Seasonal opening approximately May to October; small entry fee. About 15 minutes by car from Abtenau. Grip shoes required.

The Lammerklamm is a narrow limestone gorge carved by the Lammer River near Abtenau in the Lammertal valley, south of Salzburg. The section called Lammeröfen (literally "Lammer Ovens") describes the rounded, oven-like potholes the river has ground into the rock walls over thousands of years.
