The Koppenwinklsee is a small glacial lake in the Koppenwinkel valley above Obertraun, 40 minutes on foot from the village, with the Dachstein cliff faces directly above it. Free access. Walk from Obertraun; the Koppenbrüllerhöhle cave is en route. Combine with Hallstatt and the Dachstein ice caves for a full Salzkammergut day.

Koppenwinklsee
The Koppenwinklsee is a small glacial lake at around 767 meters in the Koppenwinkel valley just above Obertraun at the eastern end of the Hallstätter See. It sits at the foot of the Dachstein massif where the Koppach stream drains the valley, surrounded by forest and limestone cliff faces.
