Kalvarienberg Church

Hilltop chapel above Sankt Wolfgang reached by a way-of-the-cross path (Kreuzweg) through forest, with panoramic views over the Wolfgangsee from the summit. The Kalvarienberg chapel model, a walk-in Passion reenactment with stations leading to a Golgotha chapel, was a Counter-Reformation devotional standard that spread across Catholic Central Europe in the 17th and 18th centuries.
