The Hallstatt Skywalk viewing platform sits 360 meters above the village, accessible via the Salzbergbahn funicular from the south end of the lakefront. The Welterbeblick platform extends over the cliff edge with direct views of the Hallstaetter See, the village below, and the Dachstein massif closing the southern end of the lake. Included in the salt mine combo ticket. Best light is midday with the north-facing composition. Book in advance in high season. Combine with the salt mine above and the Hallstatt Beinhaus in the churchyard on the descent for a full vertical tour of the mountain.
