The Opernhaus Graz is Austria’s second-largest opera house, a Neo-Baroque building (elaborate 19th-century architecture imitating the Baroque style) opened in 1899 on the Opernring. It was designed by Fellner and Helmer, the architectural duo who built opera houses across the Habsburg Empire from Prague to Budapest. Ticket prices are significantly lower than Vienna’s State Opera, with standing room from around EUR 10 and premium seats in the EUR 80 range.
