Grawa Wasserfall

The Grawa Wasserfall in the Stubai Valley south of Innsbruck is the widest waterfall in the Eastern Alps, dropping 80 meters across a stepped limestone face into a timber platform with loungers built directly in the spray zone. The intended approach is to sit with the mist reaching you, not just to take a photo. The falls are part of the WildeWasserWeg, a 3 to 4 hour trail along the valley’s wild water features. Free; 20 minutes walk from the road. Reach the Stubai Valley by year-round bus from Innsbruck main station. Best flow in June from snowmelt.
