The Gerlitzen Alpe at 1,909 meters above the Ossiacher See is reached by the Kanzelbahn cable car from Annenheim on the lake shore, and its summit delivers the panorama over the Carinthian lake district that the lakeside itself cannot offer: the Ossiacher See, the Woerthersee, and the Millstaetter See all visible together on a clear day. Summer and winter cable car; half day minimum. Villach is 20 minutes by bus from Annenheim. The multi-lake view from the summit is the single image that explains the Carinthian lake district’s geography better than any map.
