The Fraumuenster on Zurich's west bank has five stained-glass windows by Marc Chagall installed in 1970, plus a sixth transept window by Augusto Giacometti from 1945. Chagall's windows flood the choir in blue, green, and yellow light through scenes from the Old and New Testaments that he designed in his late seventies.

On a sunny morning, the Chagall windows flood the choir in blues and greens. The church dates to 853, founded by King Louis the German. Free entry (donation welcome); open daily with seasonal hours. Tram to Paradeplatz, 5 minutes on foot. Combine with the Grossmuenster across the river for Zurich’s two medieval churches in one walk.
