park in Tulln an der Donau

Die Garten Tulln

Die Garten Tulln was established for the 2008 Lower Austrian Garden Show and remained open afterward as a permanent park rather than being dismantled as most garden exhibitions are.

Die Garten Tulln is a 9-hectare permanent park on the Danube in Tulln, established from the 2008 Lower Austrian Garden Show and kept open afterward with ecological, rose, and sensory garden sections. Open April to November; admission around EUR 8-12; check diegartentulln.at. Tulln is 40 minutes from Vienna by the Franz-Josefs-Bahn rail line. Combine with the Egon Schiele Museum (the expressionist painter was born in Tulln) and a section of the Donauradweg cycling route for a full day in the Danube valley.
