Der Weisse Ring

Der Weiße Ring (The White Ring) is a 22-kilometer circular ski route connecting Lech, Zürs, and Zug at the Arlberg, first established in 1957. The annual event day (typically January) is timed but non-competitive, open to all skill levels, and draws participants from across Europe. The circuit crosses six lifts and covers 7,500 meters of total altitude across three villages. It can also be skied independently on any operating day using the Arlberg ski pass. Lech is about 1.5 hours from Innsbruck by car or bus. Registration for the event day at derweissering.ski. The Arlberg is the birthplace of modern alpine ski technique; the skiing here is genuinely excellent.
