The Dachstein Hängebrücke (suspension bridge) crosses a void between two rock faces at 2,700 meters at the upper station of the Dachstein Gletscherbahn, with the glacier directly below. It is the most physically direct of the three experiences at this station, alongside the Sky Walk glass platform and the Eispalast (Ice Palace). The bridge is exposed and wind can be significant; it is not suitable for anyone with a strong fear of heights. On a clear day, the views across the Dachstein glacier and surrounding Eastern Alps are exceptional. Access by cable car from Ramsau am Dachstein; Ramsau is 10 km from Schladming. Bring a warm layer regardless of valley temperatures.
