Burg Wiener Neustadt is the medieval castle at the center of the city of Wiener Neustadt, founded in 1194 with the ransom money paid for Richard the Lionheart of England and now serving as the Austrian Military Academy. The castle has been in continuous institutional use for centuries, which is exactly why it survives so well.
