Zaha Hadid’s 2002 ski jump tower on the Bergisel hill hosts the Four Hills Tournament every New Year and offers one of Innsbruck’s best panoramic views from its cafe at 47 meters. Entry including the funicular is around EUR 9-11; open daily. Take tram line 1 from the Altstadt to Bergisel (10 minutes). The hill also carries the Andreas Hofer monument commemorating the 1809 Tyrolean resistance against Napoleon. Allow 1 hour. Combine with the nearby Basilika Wilten.

Zaha Hadid designed this ski jump tower on the Bergisel hill south of Innsbruck for EUR 15 million, and the cafe at the top is one of the best free-entry viewpoints in any Austrian city. The Four Hills Tournament (Vierschanzentournee) draws 28,000 spectators to the stadium below on New Year's Day and millions of TV viewers across Europe.
