Rattenberg is Austria’s smallest town and one of the best-preserved medieval streetscapes in the country. The single main street, wedged between a cliff and the Inn river, is lined with Gothic facades and glassblowing workshops where glass is worked in real time. The ruined castle above the town is climbable and gives views down the Inn valley. A 1–2 hour stop between Innsbruck and Kufstein, easily combined with either destination.
