Judenburg is an Upper Styrian Murtal town with a medieval Hauptplatz and the Sternenturm, a 12th-century tower converted into a planetarium. The town is on the direct rail route between Graz and the Salzburg region. The Zirbitzkogel mountain area east of the town provides day hiking access. A practical overnight stop on the Murtal route rather than a primary destination. About 1 hour 10 minutes from Graz by car or train.
