Hartberg is a small eastern Styrian town on the edge of the Pannonian plain with a Romanesque rotunda (one of the best in Austria), a medieval ring wall, and a thermal spa. The Tabor, a fortified sacred complex from the 12th century, is the main architectural attraction. The Hartberg Therme draws visitors for the thermal baths. About 1 hour from Graz by car. A natural overnight stop on the eastern Styria circuit toward Burgenland.
