Fügen is the first significant town in the Zillertal and the entry point for the valley’s ski and summer tourism. The Spieljoch ski area above Fügen is smaller and less crowded than the Zillertal Arena and Mayrhofen’s terrain further in, making it the practical choice for families and intermediate skiers who want Zillertal access without queuing. About 30 minutes from Innsbruck by car. The Zillertal railway from Jenbach connects the valley’s towns. Summer brings hiking and cycling on the same valley terrain.
